Make Unit A Make Unit 1B

3 Place a 2” center strip of Fabric 2 right-side-up in the sewing machine. Place a 1B unit right-side-down on top of the strip so that the Fabric 3 piece is at the bottom. With the right-hand raw edges aligned, sew the unit to the strip. Sew all the Unit 1B pieces to the Fabric 2 center strips this way.

4 Press seam allowances toward the center strip. Cut the sections apart at the edges of the units. This is now Unit B.

5 Sew each Unit A to a Unit B, referring to the image below for layout arrangement. Make sure that the long Fabric 2 strip is in the center when the units are combined. Chain piece all units together in this way, cut apart and press seam allowances toward the center strip.
